Madness in the Desert: Paris to Dakar Rally

SINOPSE

The story of the Paris to Dakar Rally, from its beginnings in the 1970s to the present day. The documentary explores how the event was born out of the bizarre experience of motorcyclist Thierry Sabine, who was lost in the desert and decided that it would be a good location for a regular rally. It later examines the controversies surrounding the annual race, which has led to more than 60 deaths and was brought to an end in its traditional form by terrorism in Africa, with its location being moved to South America.
