Borchert hates it when someone lies to him. Already at the first meeting with the murder suspect Xavier Schliemann, a childhood sweetheart of the law firm boss Dominique, he begins to have doubts about his sincerity. The smart diamond dealer denies having shot his ex-business partner Nikol in the hotel room. Instead of testifying to Captain Furrer as agreed, Xavier goes into hiding with the help of his best friend Katharina Kolling.
