"You were somewhere together?" The high school graduate Marie asks her parents sarcastically when they talk about an appointment together. Matthias fights for his wife, but with his clumsy attempts to recapture him, he looks like a teenager who is injured in his pride. Only when he learns to look ahead, gets to know the down-to-earth vet Andrea and can give the boy next door valuable help for his math exams, does the turbulent round of love affairs and surprises calm down.
