Any film that shows friends looking back on their childhood adventures depends on the juvenile cast capturing the personalities of the established stars portraying them as adults. Unfortunately, neither the teenagers nor the 30-somethings on show here can match the strong screen presences of veteran character players Ronny Cox, Burt Young, John Heard and Pat Morita, who have been getting together for catch-up rounds of golf ever since they sneaked into an exclusive country club as kids.
