Astzunz confesses to Cardinal Giovanni that he killed someone. Then his brother Juliano, is accused of the crime. Cardinal Giovanni is torn between his religious obligation to not disclose what has been confessed to him, and his conscience which dictates to clear the wrongly accused brother’s name.
