SYNOPSIS

Kostarika je poznata po iznimno bogatoj flori i fauni. Iako ne zauzima velik teritorij, obuhvaća 6% ukupne svjetske bioraznolikosti. Od 140 zabilježenih vrsta zmija, 23 su vrste otrovnica. Mnogi znanstvenici i laboratoriji u Kostariki rade na proizvodnji protuotrova. Procjenjuje se da svake tri minute na svijetu netko umre od zmijskog otrova. Zato je važno proizvesti djelotvorne protuotrove po pristupačnoj cijeni. Emilie Martin i Marie-Pier Elie posjetit će jedan od kostarikanskih prirodnih rezervata i sastati se s timom znanstvenika s Instituta Clodomiro Picado. Otrov ubija, ali može nam i spasiti život.
