Američki biolog Frank Fish, američki aeronautički inženjer Philip Watts i kanadski filmaš, izumitelj i poduzetnik Stephen W. Dewar dizajnirali su elisu koja ne daje samo više energije vjetroturbinama nego i štedi energiju kod mnogih drugih primjena, od golemih industrijskih ventilatora do malih ventilatora koji hlade kompjutere i drugu elektroniku.
