SYNOPSIS

England's enemies begin to rally as the Pope backs an alliance between France and Spain. In retaliation, Cromwell seeks to consolidate the country's affiliation with the Protestants by arranging for Henry to marry the German noble Anne of Cleves. However, the king's fickle temper leaves him resenting the match. Jonathan Rhys Meyers, James Frain and Joss Stone star.
