Elena Rodrigez živi na jedrilici u marini Ponta Delgade, najvećeg grada Azorskog otočja, miljama daleko od portugalske obale. Ona je majstorica stolarije iz Kolumbije, a posao je dobrim dijelom naučila zahvaljujući portugalskom prijatelju Joau s kojim je radila u Venezueli.
