SYNOPSIS

A woman who is receiving threatening letters is then killed when someone plunges a syringe full of barbituates into her stomach. DCI Barnaby discovers the drugs were stolen from a veterinary clinic, but before he can investigate other clues, one of the men who discovered her body is killed...and then another one is found dead.
