SYNOPSIS

Radnja nas vodi na Siciliju, na kraj pedesetih godina prošlog vijeka. Vito, najstariji sin porodice Licata, odlučuje se preseliti u mali grad Liguriju, na sjeverezapadu Italije. On i njegova porodica odlaze u potrazi za srećom i dostojanstvenijim životom za majku i brata i sestru. Licate nalaze dom u jednoj bijednoj četvrti u predgrađu zajedno sa stotinama imigranata koji su došli tamo. Vito i njegova porodica nisu spremni na neprijateljstvo društva, društva koje ih odbija prihvatiti i stalno ih diskriminira. U svijetu očajnih likova sve je više ljubomore i osvete. Licatina priča mješa se sa pričom prelijepe Sofije, snažne Concette, okrutnog Commendatorea Schive i strastvene Irme. Ovo je serija o potrazi za nadom i iskupljenjem u svijetu koji se boji svega što je drugačije.
