SYNOPSIS

PC Steve Crane takes an urgent phone call, and is shocked to discover Peter Pyke's warehouse has gone up in smoke. It soon emerges that the owner's wife had spent time behind bars for fraud, and her husband is reluctant to answer questions - leading Merton to suspect the blaze was deliberate. Meanwhile, Vernon moves into his new mansion, but has trouble keeping up with his well-to-do neighbours. Rural drama, starring James Carlton, Duncan Bell and Geoffrey Hughes.
