SYNOPSIS

Henry VIII appoints himself head of the Church of England as the Catholic Church struggles to control his demands for an annulment. Catherine of Aragon is banished from court at the insistence of Anne Boleyn, and a cook is boiled alive for poisoning a high-ranking bishop. Drama chronicling the king's four-decade reign, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Jeremy Northam.
