SYNOPSIS

Teacher Evan Westcott shoots at senatorial candidate Grant Hamilton during a political rally, with Lindsay being hurt in the ensuing chaos and a tragedy occurring when a boy picks up the discarded firearm. The investigators recover bullets from the crime scene and match the casings to a gun registered to Hamilton, but the politician claims it was stolen during a break-in at his home.
