Rita Lowman is trapped in a lift as its ceiling catches fire and is burned alive, with security footage proving that arsonist Leonard Brooks tampered with the machinery. When a man dies after eating a sandwich spiked with a substance that causes a fiery chemical reaction with his stomach acid, Mac and the team must find the connection between the victims before Brooks strikes again.
