SYNOPSIS
The concluding part of the documentary about Bill Clinton's presidency begins with his 1996 election victory over Bob Dole, which marked the beginning of a period of great prosperity for the USA. However, America's confidence in its president was shaken in 1998 after he was accused of having an affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky - a scandal that gave Clinton's opponents their greatest opportunity to bring his time in power to an end. The programme also explores Hillary Clinton's role in shaping American politics, and examines how her popularity rose during her husband's darkest days. Last in the series.
