SYNOPSIS

Čini se da se nekoć dugogodišnja kulturna i povijesna prijestolnica Europe, današnja Austrija, pomirila s gubitkom utjecaja. No ova alpska država povremeno se pojavljuje u europskim društvenim i političkim zbivanjima. Osim toga, njezina vitalna umjetnička i književna scena izuzetno je sofisticirana i silovita te svjedoči o dugoj kreativnoj tradiciji.
Pokušat ćemo jasnije prikazati kompleksni identitet današnje Austrije pregledom nekih od njezinih najpoznatijih pisaca kao što su Josef Winkler, Robert Menasse i Arno Geiger. Od kozmopolitskog Beča do konzervativne Koruške, Austrija je zemlja proturječja.
