SYNOPSIS

A leading Cambridge academic steals nearly £3 million of government grants meant for environmental research, then smuggles bundles of cash out of the country inside empty chocolate boxes. A local council fights back against fraudulent compensation claims that could cripple its budget, and a fraudster abuses the Covid-19 support scheme to line their own pockets with £10,000, stolen from the public purse.
