SYNOPSIS

Vera Kuntner studij slikarstva završila je u prvom poslijeratnom razdoblju "tendencioznog realizma" (1945.-1952.), a tada je pitanje likovne forme postalo strogo ideološko. Nakon te idejno-političke doktrine "istočne" orijentacije postalo je pedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća normativno i obvezatno iskazati slikom pripadnost izborenoj "modernosti" i uključivanju u suvremene tokove umjetnosti na Zapadu. Vera Kuntner se opusom istarskih veduta uklopila u pejzažiste hrvatskog juga, iako do danas to mnogim poznavateljima slikarstva i nije dovoljno poznato.
