SYNOPSIS

Sue Perkins makes an epic journey up the Mekong, South East Asia's greatest river, exploring lives and landscapes on the point of dramatic change. In this third episode, she reaches Laos, a poor country shaped by Buddhism and Communism. Gaining access to a massive dam project, Sue asks if the price of development is too high.
