These near neighbours haven't played each other since June 2010, and this is their first-ever meeting at the European Championship finals. Switzerland's last victory over the Azzurri came back in May 1993, when Roy Hodgson masterminded a 1-0 World Cup qualifying victory in Berne thanks to Marc Hottiger's second-half goal. It's fair to say that the Swiss have been drawn a difficult hand in this tournament, beginning their campaign against Wales in Azerbaijan, before travelling to Rome for this match, and then returning to Baku for their final group fixture against Turkey.
