SYNOPSIS

Gaugin se smatra jednim od najvećih francuskih slikara 19. stoljeća. No njegova umjetnost često se ocjenjivala previše egzotičnom. Jer nadahnuće je zaista crpio na putovanjima, osobito po Polineziji, a te slike obilježile su njegovo postimpresionističko razdoblje.
Gauginove slike iz Pariza, Bretanje i s polinezijskih otoka mješavina su kultura po kojima su različite od svih drugih.
