SYNOPSIS

With the world on the brink of the Second World War, 1939 finds 17-year-old Alex returning home to Elizabeth City from college. He's also there to tell his father that he's not on leave to conduct a research paper, but has in fact quit school. After joining the navy, while he is away at sea, Alex learns he is a father
