SYNOPSIS

When a revolution breaks out in a South American mining town, a roguish adventurer (Georges Marchal), an aging miner (Charles Vanel), a beautiful prostitute (Simone Signoret), a deaf mute (Michèle Girardon) and an activist minister (Michel Piccoli) escape the despotic regime and flee to the jungle.
