Ein Sommer in Amsterdam

SYNOPSIS

Mia Kaufmann, who lost her daughter in accident a year ago, returns to Amsterdam in search of the biological son she donated the egg for twenty four years ago, for pay. She instantly loves him, having stumbled onto Mathijs van Haalen, who waiters at her hotel as aspiring cabaret artist. His mother left after divorcing his strict father, businessman Jan van Haalen, who ignores the link when he starts a hot affair with Mia and refuses to help Mathijs financially so he can keep the houseboat he lives on with his girl and study puppeteering, which Mia supports, hence suggests he legally claims alimony from Jan, whose lawyer is also charged with enforcing the donation non-disclosure clause when he hears Mathijs's other mother turned up. Ultimately the truth comes out.
