SYNOPSIS

Three Russian aristocrats - flighty Natasha, pacifist Pierre and military officer Andrei - endure a series of tumultuous events as Naopleon Bonaparte's armies invade the country. While Andrei is sent to the front line, Pierre is drawn into a loveless marriage, ignorant of Natasha's feelings for him.
