SYNOPSIS

Maggie (Joanna Pettet) and John Sergeant (William Shatner) are Wyoming homesteaders of the post-Civil War era. They are heading west in search of a new life. When John is killed Maggie must decide whether to remain or take her son (Russell Baer) and daughter (Helen Hunt) back East.
