SYNOPSIS

John McCain is a poor student, except at wrestling, but toughs it out at Annzapolis' Naval college to become a career officer like his dad and late grandpa, who were both admirals. Love at first sight leads to him having children. During the Vietnman war, he's shot down and captured by the Vietcong, who torture American POWs. John resists years of misery, but is broken once on account of his busted limbs.
