SYNOPSIS

Ines Kupfer is a famous, widely celebrated and popular actress. Due to her career, she never had much time for her only daughter Nathalie - which led to a difficult relationship between the two women. Now Nathalie's wedding to the charming Stephan de Groot is just around the corner, and Ines has got it into her head to organize a lavish party for her daughter on her property. What was intended as a generous maternal gesture, however, offers material for new conflicts: Nathalie would have much preferred a small celebration with her closest friends. But that's not Ines' only concern. For a while she has been receiving anonymous letters and threatening phone calls from an unknown woman who is threatening to cause a scandal at the wedding party. As it turns out, this is Nora Regener, the jealous wife of Ines' family doctor Thomas: Completely drunk, she shows up in a red evening dress at the bachelorette party, makes a violent scene for Ines and threatens to reveal a dark secret from Ines' Past. Shortly thereafter, Nathalie overhears a conversation between her mother and Stephan, which reveals that the two once had an affair. So that's the secret with which Mrs. Regener wanted to make the wedding burst. That same night, Ines finds his wife Regener in the boathouse of her property - dead, apparently murdered. Little does she know that it is actually a tragic accident that Nathalie is to blame for. She tries to cover things up as best she can. However, a mysterious fire at the boathouse gets the police involved the next morning. The investigations into the "Murder of Regener" are in full swing. The wedding party turns into a tragedy. In desperation, the worldly Ines tries to maintain control while being cornered from all sides. In this situation, she suddenly realizes that she has one heart's desire above all - to finally come to terms with Nathalie.And in order not to endanger the happiness of our marriage and the future of her daughter, the famous film diva makes a decision that is as dramatic as it is generous.
