Što pomisli obična mačka gledajući ovo jezero? Hladno je, nije kao u ljetovalištu, puno neugodne vode! I nema toliko mnogo ribara koliko bi voljela. Zapravo, normalna maca zaista nema što raditi u turskoj provinciji. No mačke o kojima će danas biti riječ i ta vodena površina jesu blizanci. Riječ je o jezeru Van, a tako se zove i grad na njegovoj obali. Tako se zovu i mačke koje žive ovdje od pamtivijeka - turske van mačke.
