Na vrhuncu ljeta vodom zasićeno područje čarobno je mjesto za ptice močvarice. Ono osigurava dovoljne zalihe vrsta riba kojima se hrane. Ova močvara tako ne hrani samo autohtone, nego i neke migratorne vrste ptica. Zbog promjenjive razine vode u močvarnom koritu Beung Boraphet različite su i dubine plićaka koji svojom hranom privlače raznovrsne ptice - gnjurce, bjelolice utve zviždare, Indomalajske guske i nekoliko vrsta ptica plivarica.
