SYNOPSIS

The story of the invertebrates that left the sea to move on to land 400 million years ago. Since then, they have become the most successful group of animals, without which the land's ecosystem would collapse. David Attenborough examines the insects' behaviour, travelling to South Africa and Venezuela to witness the habits and routines of millipedes and centipedes.
