The second leg of Si King and Dave Myers' journey in search of Europe's finest baking takes them through the Low Countries. Holland's heritage as a spice-trading nation shines through in such dishes as Dutch apple pie, smothered in cinnamon, and Jewish buns coated in muscovado sugar. In Belgium, the duo make their own chocolate truffle cheesecake, and get busy again in Luxembourg, cooking a pork pie with Riesling jelly. Along the way they snort chocolate, taste the sweet delights of Bruges and get a recipe for macaroons with ice-cream.
