INHALT

Najambiciozniji privatni pothvat u području kulture početkom 20. stoljeća u Rijeci, ali i na teritoriju današnje Hrvatske, bila je izgradnja Teatra Fenice bečkog arhitekta Theodora Traxlera. Iznimno bogata kazališna scena, kao i svijest da je kazalište mjesto gdje se dolazi istodobno i vidjeti i biti viđen rezultirala je suvremenom protofunkcionalističkom građevinom, jednom od najranijih u Europi s armiranobetonskom konstrukcijom.
