Za njega se zna reći: knez arhitekture, kardinal uljudbe, mudrac iz bečkog 17. Bezirka... Boris Podrecca u sebi pomiruje intelektualno naslijeđe mnogo šireg prostora nego što je Beč, njegova arhitektura počiva na srednjoeuropskoj teksturi, poput Plečnika, ili pak zagrebačkog arhitektonskog nasljeđa. To je ujedno i njegovo obiteljsko nasljeđe, vezano uz hrvatske i talijanske korijene, kao i odrastanje u Trstu. Njegova arhitektura i danas nastaje i formira Beč.
