Juliet Stevenson narrates a documentary filmed over the course of a year that tells the stories of the animals and people inhabiting Icleand. An Arctic fox family ekes out a clifftop living, an eider farmer has his hands full with the arrival of a host of ducklings and Viking horsemen prepare to saddle up for the autumn round-up. However, nature's clock is ticking and the constant volcanic threat eventually boils over with one of the island's biggest eruptions in more than 200 years.
