Four sets of hoteliers compete to see which one of their guest houses provides the best value for money. In East Sussex, Nigel Fright welcomes the contestants to the Black Lion Inn, but the tension soon mounts and only gets worse during the stay at The Wheatsheaf in Exning, Suffolk. Cheryl Casey, owner of the Sherwood Guesthouse in Merseyside, welcomes the competitors for the third visit, and a couple hope their brand new rooms at the Big Bear Lodge in Shropshire can steal the competition.
