The four heat-winners enter the last quarter-final, the Critic's Brief, in which they come up with two dishes based on the simple instructions of this week's guest judge, food critic William Sitwell. For the main course, he asks for a spicy dish that gets the best out of its ingredients, and for the dessert, mentions his love of classic English puddings. Once the food is ready, William faces each amateur in turn to give them his honest opinion, alongside John Torode and Gregg Wallace. But which one will fail to make the knockout week?
