Kicking off the study group’s senior year at Greendale Community College, Jeff (Joel McHale) resists his selfish impulse to graduate a semester early and opts to keep everyone together for a memorable last lap. Following a run-in with their German exchange student rivals, the group confronts obstacles that include the return of Greendale’s disgraced security chief, Chang (Ken Jeong), and a practical joke by Pierce (Chevy Chase) that backfires badly. From a fanboy convention ski trip and a challenging Thanksgiving dinner with Shirley’s (Yvette Nicole Brown) family, to movie-inspired role reversals, parallel worlds inhabited by evil doppelgangers and flashbacks to the coincidences that foreshadowed their friendships, the group remains true to each other as their time as classmates draws to a close. Guest stars include Malcolm McDowell and Fred Willard.
