INHALT
Christmas is without cheer in the Tudor court in the absence of the queen. Henry VIII's chaplain, Thomas Cranmer, undertakes a fact-finding mission to Lutheran Germany, while at home the king withdraws the authority of the Catholic Church. Sir Thomas More resigns as chancellor, and Henry argues with Charles Brandon about his mistress. Meanwhile, a royal visit to France convinces Anne to consummate her relationship with the king.
