Great Bear Stakeout

SINOPSIS

First in a two-part documentary following the grizzly bears of the Alaskan wilderness as they come out of hibernation and are thrust together in a frenzy of feeding, fighting and mating. Episode one introduces first-time grizzly mum Parsnip and her young cub Pushki. Only half of bear cubs make it through the season and they are both struggling to survive in the unforgiving region, which is ruled by massive male Van and his aggressive partner Alice - for whom Parsnip's youngster would make a good meal. Narrated by Billy Connolly. Concludes tomorrow.
