ÖZET
Documentary focusing on the events of the night of August 13, 1961, when the border was closed, dividing the people of east and west Berlin. The film uses eyewitness accounts as well as letters to illustrate the turmoil the city was thrown into, and features archive footage taken from the 12 hours leading up to the initial erection of the structure, which became a prominent symbol of the Cold War.
