SYNOPSIS

A series of unexplained deaths occurs around a crevice in Scotland, with victims suffering severe burns or having the flesh melted from their bodies. A scientist investigates the mystery, and tries to convince the authorities that they are dealing with a creature from the Earth's core that feeds on radiation. Hammer sci-fi horror, starring Dean Jagger, Edward Chapman and Leo McKern.
