SINOPSIS

The documentary series examines how the 20,000 islands in the region became colonised by humans and animals. For the Polynesians, the Pacific's first people, their journeys constituted a feat of navigational ingenuity, while animals often had to rely on violent forces of nature, such as cyclones and tsunamis, to reach the shores.
