Drama adapted from Iain Banks' blackly comic novel, centring on the struggles of a man trying to find the answers to some of life's great mysteries, such as why people die and why the girl of his dreams never notices him. The story begins with his grandmother's funeral - an upsetting occasion which makes him all the more determined to trace his missing uncle.
