TARTALOM ISMERTETő
In 1973 young Ricky Tomlinson,a former member of the National Front, later to become a well-known actor,is convicted of conspiracy to intimidate when as half of the so-called Shrewsbury Two,he refused to give evidence against other flying pickets who were upholding a building site strike. Sentenced to two years in jail Ricky sees himself as a political prisoner, refusing to eat or wear prison clothes until at his last prison, the governor introduces him to the book 'The Ragged-Trousered Philanthropists',which changes his outlook on life. As the younger Ricky spars with the governor his older self is a ghostly presence, commenting on events and the political situation.
