Nigel Slater: Eating Together: Soup

SYNOPSIS

Nigel visits three home cooks to learn about well-loved soup recipes that have come from around the world. Miles tells him how his mother brought her recipe for spicy fish tea with her when she moved to Wiltshire from Jamaica in the 1960s, while Sumiko gives him a lesson in the art of Japanese miso soup. Finally, Nigel meets 87-year-old Regina at her home in Leeds to find out how she makes a classic Jewish chicken soup, joining her family for a Friday night Shabbat dinner.
