SYNOPSIS

Alice Roberts sets out to discover why the creatures that dominated the planet 40,000 years ago died out as the world started to warm up and the end of the Ice Age neared. She examines how the woolly rhino was unable to adapt when the increase in snowfall prevented it from getting enough grass, and learns that mastodons were turning on one another. Last in the series.
