IRF World Rafting Championship 2019

SYNOPSIS

Over 300 of the world’s best white water rafters travelled to the Cassowary Coast in Queensland for a chance to become the ‘ best of the best’ in the International Rafting Federation's premier event of 2019. Over 30 nations were represented including host nation Australia. Held over 8 days in May, teams from around the world competed through a combination of disciplines that include sprints, head to head, slalom and downriver. The event was staged on the world-renowned Tully River, on a section of iconic Grade IV water spilling through the world heritage rainforest of Tropical North Queensland.
