Chandler et Joey ont installé dans leur appartement des meubles de jardin récupérés dans la cave de l'immeuble et un canoë, échangé contre leur meuble de télévision. Chandler sort à nouveau avec Joanna, la patronne de Rachel. Il lui rend visite au bureau, mais elle le menotte à une chaise. Monica est engagée par sa mère pour préparer un dîner.
